Rooms spacious, nicely decorated, offering a comfortable stay. The communal lounge boasts leather sofas and Sky Sports TV, perfect for relaxing after a day out.
Lack of flexibility for late check-in posed challenges after a long journey. Cramped en-suite facilities made usage awkward for larger individuals, while the breakfast room felt congested despite the quality of food. Securing a parking space proved difficult, leading to issues with sap on the car from roadside parking.

The stay at Abbeyfield Lodge turned out better than expected. The room felt spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed that you really want to sink into. I appreciated having tea and coffee facilities in the room. The communal lounge was a nice spot, featuring leather sofas and Sky Sports, which added to the relaxing vibe. The breakfast selection was excellent and hot, a real highlight of the stay. I did face some issues with plumbing noises from other rooms, which could disrupt a peaceful morning. a shelf near the sink in the bathroom would have made things a bit more convenient. it's a welcoming place, but those details could use some attention.

Couples escape done right
The welcome we got was something special. A lovely gent showed us around, and the room was massive, sparkling clean with every little thing we needed. Had a fantastic breakfast with a good variety of options, and the service was just extremely friendly.
It wasn’t exactly cheap but acceptable considering the experience we got.
